Volunteer
If you would like to volunteer to help Cambridge Talking News then we would love to hear from you, there are lots of exciting ways to help.
- Editors: Cambridge Talking News has four editors, as does CamMag. Editors take responsibility for identifying suitable material and arranging for it to be recorded.
- Readers: We have about twenty people who record items for both CTN and CamMag. At present they do this in their own homes, using a number of different recording methods.
- Sound Technicians: We have five sound technicians who put the recordings together to ensure good sound quality. They upload the recordings each week, and make them available to the copiers.
- Copiers: We have six people who copy the programmes on to USB sticks at Cam Sight, then arrange for the wallets to be posted to subscribers.
- Post Sorters: We have three people who open up the returned wallets at Cam Sight, file the address labels and prepare the wallets for the next edition. We are keen to recruit another volunteer to help sort the post.
- Secretary of Cambridge Talking News: The secretary can be contacted on 01223 353 296.
